For the second straight year, the students of Braj Gopika Vidyamandal celebrates their Radhastami in Radhekunj in Vrindavan.

The Gurukula girls left Nandgaon early in the morning with full of excitement and anticipation for today’s Radhastami Celebration in Vrindavan. Everyone was in a festive spirit and gala. They first went to Sri Krishna Greens Vrindavan for the morning Radharani kirtan and breakfast. Then they proceeded to Radhekunj. The whole program was exclusively reserved for the Gurukula girls’ performances. The temple was filled with devotees chanting loudly the names of Sri Radha. The girls commenced the festivity by offering a soulful prayer for protection to Sri Narasimhadev. To start the glorification of Srimati Radharani, the girls performed the “Radhe Radhe” dance followed by “Ghanashyam” dance. The brajavais were delighted and sang in unison, Radhe! Radhe!.

The kids showed their new dance piece, the “Peacock Lila“, followed by another dance presentation, the “Jai Janardhana”. After these two incredible dance numbers, they sang a beautiful Radharani bhajan, the “Radhey Prem Maye”. The 4th and 5th graders came next and performed the “Fruit Vendor Lila” followed by another bhajan describing how Sri Krishna was captivated by Sri Radhika and the gopis with the sound of the bells. Then the girls delivered one more play called, “Wonderful Krishna” and they concluded their presentations with a mesmerizing bhajan, the “Radhey Kishori dya karo”.

The grand bathing ceremony took place after the Gurukula girls’ fantastic show. Everyone was dancing in euphoria during Radharani kirtan and the girls were all jumping in jubilation. The most awaited Radharani Prasad was honored at the end of the program. The students were sumptuously fed and they all received special gifts.

We would like to thank Sri Sripad Premananda das prabhuji for inviting us once again and for his wonderful hospitality and service attitude.

Jai Jai Sri Radhey!

Bolo Radharani ki jai! Maharani ki jai!

Radhastami ki jai!
