Nandgaon Gurukula Students Perform at Vrindavan Research Institute
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) together with Nityananda Golok Dham Trust, Centre for Traditional Education in India (CTE) and Bhaktivedanta Learning Institute for Self-Sufficiency (BLISS Vrindavan) organized the “Gau-Krishi Convention and Exhibition” at Vrindavan Research Institute. The 3-day conference started from Dec.30, 2017 up to Jan. 1, 2018. The Project-Krish was invited to participate, as the main theme of this gathering is “To Make Vrindavan Village”. The Project Krish had established a free school for the underprivileged children of Vraj. The Gurukula school for the girls in Nandgaon is promoting and preserving the culture of Vrindavan. They cultivated the students and villagers to uphold Vrindavan Culture through arts, music, dance, drama and education. The students of Nandgaon prepared something for the cultural program of this event.
The girls started their presentation by a wonderful dance performance; it was followed by three separate plays; the blissful “Ter Kadamba pastime”, the hilarious “Yasoda Maiya and Cowherding Lila” and their newest piece, the adorable “Damodar Lila”. The Gurukula girls also offered some Vaisnava bhajans and prayers and they recited the whole 16th chapter of Bhagavad-Gita by heart. Their presentations received positive audience reception. The students are getting better on their show and this was an exceptional act from the young girls of Nandgaon. It was totally superb and delightful. The students have a great amount of talent and produced an amazing feat.
The event organizers presented a certificate of participation and gifts to each student and teacher of Nandgaon Gurukula.
