The Gurukula students of Braj Gopika Vidhya Mandal in Nandgaon exhibited their ability in recitation of Bhagavad Gita slokas last Saturday, 5th of May at Greenfield Public School in Kose, Mathura.
Sriman M.L. Chaudhary, the principal of Greenfield Public School along with other teachers and officials of nearby school visited the Girl’s Gurukula in Nandgaon a week ago. They were impressed when they heard the Gurukula girls are studying Bhagavad Gita and learning to recite and memorize the slokas (verses). Mr. Chaudhary invited the students of Nandgaon to come to his school so they could recite the Gita slokas in front of all the students.
Around 30 students ages 6 thru 13 from Nandgaon came to Greenfield school and they recited the whole 12th chapter of Gita.. They also did individual chanting of different verses. More than 140 students along with invited guests from different school listened with awe, amazement, excitement and astonishment. The sounds, rhythm, energy, and vibrations created by chanting touched the hearts of the students and teachers of Greenfield School.
Mr. Chaudhary prabhuji really admired and appreciated the dedication and devotion of Nandgaon children. He wanted to introduce the study of Gita in his school. The principals and teachers from different schools applauded the recitation and they also plan to invite the Gurukula girls in their respective schools to share their wonderful talents to their students.
